Dear, wonderful Ubuntu Wellness team,
I just wanted to let you know how I have been going since coming to talk with Andrew and Nikki back in October last year.
A re-cap on my story:
I am 55 years old and was diagnosed with MS in 1990. I have a slowly progressive form of the disease, and my biggest issue over the past several years has been debilitating neuropathic pain which affects my right thoracic region from sternum to waist. This has seriously impacted on my life, making even simple tasks such as washing the dishes or ironing near impossible.
I also suffer facet-joint disease in my lumbar spine, and osteoarthritis in both knees.
Over the years I have been prescribed a range of medications: Lyrica, Baclofen,Citalopram, Escitalopram, Fluoxetine, Gabapentin …
All of these medications brought unpleasant side-effects, and I could only tolerate them in very low doses and still be able to function. Therefore, they were ineffective as I couldn’t get to the required dosage. Even at the low dosages I still felt like a zombie! Plus, these meds have caused fairly significant weight-gain which does not help when ones joints are compromised by arthritic changes.
Being hospitalised for pancreatitis was the turning point for me to come off all these meds, and my activity levels just had to decrease to accommodate the unbearably painful cramps and spasms affecting my right side.
A couple of months later, I was on the east coast with family and traveled up to Newcastle to the Wellness centre on the recommendation of a dear friend. I’m glad I did!
I am taking CBD oil (10 drops) twice during the day, and THC (approx 10 drops) at night. What a difference!
I am bright and alert, sleep tremendously well and best of all – the neuropathic pain is significantly reduced.
I am so grateful to you wonderful people who are putting yourselves on the line in your solid conviction of the efficacy and necessity of medical Cannabis.
The oils, and the support and the nutritional advice you provide has really made a fantastic difference to me.
I hope that one day, with the information we are all sending to our politicians and the media, that attitudes to Cannabis will change and each of us will be able to grow our medicine along with the other herbs in our back yards.
In the meantime, thank God for you guys! Thank you.
